One of my favorite posts so far. Thanks for the Dad sales descriptions, some of that stuff I didn't know! It helps fill in the blanks for Shelby. You have a memory like no other. I appreciate you brother.

Thanks, Dave! My recollections are catalogued by the prevailing music and aromas that surrounded us at specific places and times. They randomly trigger memories of people, buildings and events of our youth. Every time I carve Bloodwood, the spicy, exotic smell transports me to "family" dos at uncle Mel's boat club on Lake Delta, with all our aunts, uncles, cousins and other hangers-on. America's "Ventura Highway" plays on a tinny transistor radio, somewhere.
