On the Workbench…
While things are a bit slow for my order clipboard, production is booming in our yard. With our daily rains, the Florida jungle encroaches. There is no lack of things to do.
Vines grow 12 to 15 inches per day. The yard needs a trim after only 3 days. Notice I didn’t say grass (although there is some), as we just let whatever grow and mow it down to look presentable. We do not believe in “lawns” with their fertilizers and pesticides.
Trees are lush with new growth, providing oxygen and the shade that eases temps and protects us from the blazing UV rays as we putter. Slow and steady may not necessarily win the race, but keeps us alive as we (at least) keep it to a photo finish.
Julie’s orchids are loving the return of the humidity and rains, too.
I have also spent a few air-conditioned hours populating my new GOIMAGINE shop. I now have listings for Chopsticks, Name Keychains, MiniTags, 2-Liner Keychains and some Specialty Keychains. Please check out and give GOIMAGINE a look if you get a chance. It is all handmade, like Etsy was 15 years ago.
Sneak Peeks
This week, my Etsy orders came from Phoenix, AZ, Las Vegas, NV, Crozet, VA and Hamilton, Ontario.
Here’s a view of this week’s Etsy orders.
For customers, Sneak Peeks should ease your mind that your order is quite important to me and being attended to, not sitting on a clipboard or in the to-do pile. Also, if your order is being sent as a gift to a recipient at another address, you get to see it before they do.
For subscribers, this will give you an idea of the physical things I create and ship worldwide. They keep me sane and help me find my peace.
Every order is carved individually by hand, in the order that they are received. Some weeks are busier than others. I usually carve and ship within 2 to 3 business days.
If you are enjoying what you see… I like it hot and black. 😉
