Printing and So Much More
This time of year, I spend the relatively cooler part of the day in the workshop or yard. Two or three hours to catch up on orders, build stock, and beat back the jungle of our yard. Done by 1:00pm, when the Florida heat and humidity can even make Julie’s orchids sweat.
Some days, necessity makes my computer corner my workbench. The air-conditioning is welcomed. Accounting, updating or adding market listings and learning new things to do on Canva as well as sharing this blog keep me busy during my slower times. Please share it if you are enjoying it.
I do spreadsheets and worksheets and rough drafts of my blogs and other writing outlines in Google Drive, accessed from my gmail account. It is much the same as any other accounting software, but I find it convenient and compatible with what I do.
During the course of daily business, I now print my own business cards, chopsticks “Care Sheets”, flyers and other documents using Canva. Using Canva for basic printing, I need only to print as many as I need, with the only added expenses being time, paper and ink.
I am now a couple months into Canva, but have only scratched the surface of this new (to me) and ever expanding tool. For about $10.00 a month, Canva allows me to design, modify and download an endless number of print jobs, Facebook ads, website graphics, promotional memes and videos with voice-overs. You can even create eBooks! WARNING: It is addictive and makes time warp.
A FREE subscription now gets all of my Blog posts, News & Sneak Peeks posts.
I publish at least twice a week, Mondays and Fridays. Please subscribe to get them sent directly to your email as they are published.
If you enjoy what you read and would like to support my habit, I will still happily accept “Paid” subscriptions and tips through my “Buy Me a Coffee” account. I appreciate the encouragement.
