Friday Roundup from the DustyNewt Workshop 09/20/2024
Today’s “17 Step Commute” Dashboard…
Temp: Currently 80 degrees. High of 90 today 😎
Humidity: 5 on the “Soup” scale. (1=light broth, 5=thick chowder)
Today’s Playlist: Briefcase Full of Blues ~ Blues Brothers.
Conditions: The Harvest moon passed. The evening shadows are getting deeper, earlier. We should be seeing the mid 80s for afternoon highs soon. The first cool front usually arrives the first week of October, but with this climate change business, we may have snow by next week. Until then… Moist and hot!
Estimated Travel Time: 18 seconds
Food: New York Gala Apple and a Costa Rican banana. We are international! Maybe TexMex for supper…?
Coffee Level: 1/4 Tank
On the Workbench…
Now that the expense of getting kids back in school has passed and cool air is arriving to much of the north, people are starting to focus on holiday gift giving. Our Etsy orders are picking back up while the GoImagine shop is still struggling for views.
We are currently completing and shipping custom, personalized orders within two or three days. Since 95% of our sales are made-to-order, we will necessarily increase this production time, up to two weeks by the end of November. Any existing product “Sales” or quantity “Specials” will be discontinued until after the first of 2025.
As in the last four years, the first week of December will likely see the temporary pausing of orders altogether, to get caught up and everything shipped in time for Santa and the USPS to do their jobs, then we reopen January 1.
So, ordering early is best for receiving the gifts you and yours want from DustyNewt.
You can see this week’s output below in the Sneak Peek slideshow.
